What is the difference between Shared, Dedicated and Semi-Private Transport?

Shared loads: Also known as a co-load, this is the most cost-effective way to travel – Economy Class if you like. Our lorry carries up to 10/11 horses so your horse or pony is sharing the journey with others and therefore the costs are spread between the owners. Your horse will have company which is very important as they are naturally herding animals. These routes are generally via ferry unless otherwise advised. In this category, a client can’t pick a defined date. We pick travel dates that suit the delivery of all the horses on that particular route.

Semi-Private Load(only available when offered by F2F Horse Transit, Inc. if other horses are traveling similar routes and timings to you): Usually, on a 3.5 tonne ‘2 horse’ box, your horse will travel with one other horse only in ‘Upper Class’ or ‘Premium’.  As there is only one other horse traveling, the route is more direct from door-to-door without stopping to drop or collect lots of other horses. Journey times are generally quicker than a shared load.

Dedicated Charter Load: This is our VIP, First Class, bespoke service! Depending on your requirements, can be carried out in our large lorry or in one of our 2 horse boxes. This premium service allows you to choose your dates for travel, your horse will have a door-to-door service without having to detour for other horses. We keep you updated about your horse’s progress up to three times a day. You can also specify whether you prefer the ferry or the Eurotunnel and if you have a few horses plus all of their equipment, feed bins and feed then you can hire the lorry to use for this purpose without extra charges.

Air Transport

When transporting your horses by air & road, our absolute priority is the horse’s safety and wellbeing. We work only with the best and most reliable airlines so that we can transport your horse from one country to another or from continent to another in the safest manner possible.
If your horse is traveling for the first time or if he is less comfortable with flying, we recommend to ship him in a double stall (equivalent of the “business class”). In this case two horses are put in one airstall side by side.
If your horse is comfortable with flying, then he can easily travel in a triple stall (equivalent of the “economy class”). This is also the most economical solution for you, since there are three horses traveling together in one airstall.
During the flight, the horses are well taken care of and checked regularly by the attending grooms. They make sure there is plenty of water and hay available for our precious passengers. And should any problem appear, they have plenty of experience and knowledge to intervene in the right manner.
We have the capacity to organize a transport as large as 100 horses per flight and deliver all over the continent or the globe, so whatever your task might be, we assure you that we can help you.
We have almost 20 years of experience so we’ve tried a bit of everything on our journey. Throughout our years in the business, we have had happy customers and good relationships with our partners.

Our staff is dedicated to making the experience for the client and their horses the most elite experience offered in the equine air transport industry. Each flight is tendered with personal care; one of our agents will walk you through what to expect tailored to your horse’s specific flight.
